The special blue "Centenial Label" on the front of the machine means this machine is one of the 100 year celebration models that came out in 1951.
This machine has been gone over completely. The motor has been cleaned by one of America's Featherweight guru's. He has worked on these machines daily for years.
*  Also: the machine has been cleaned, oiled and lubed; it has a new foot-motor-control cord.
*  It has one box of original attachments; seven in all; additional bobbins; original buttonhole maker attachment
*  Tension has been adjusted to give a good stitch.
*  There is a sample of this machine sewing through 16 layers of muslin fabric. This machine is gear driven and belt driven. Know by many as
    "The Perfect Portable". This machine is 62 years old and sews as good as when it was new. It is a small workhorse of a machine. It has an
    aluminum body and the machine by itself weighes 11 pounds. It's color is black.
*   The original black storage/carrying box has had the two latches replaced because the original latches had got broken.
