Princess Shepherd (Unknown Type) Adult Female in Erie, Pennsylvania

My story
Princess is looking for a very special castle to be her forever home. Could it be yours?

Princess' life prior to rescue was no fairy tale: Cruelty. Emaciation. A collar so deeply embedded in her neck that surgery was needed to free it. Heartworms, and the lengthy treatment eradicating them requires.

So it's not a surprise that Princess is ... quirky. Chief among her quirks is her clear preference for females. She quickly warms up to the women she meets, and adores her foster mom. She's a little slower to respond as positively to men, but with time an patience she is okay with men too. Her playful energy might be too much for a home with small children.

Princess' rough start also left her undersocialized, so a home without other pets would make her feel most comfortable.

Princess is happy, healthy, and ready to be a queen who bestows abundant love, cuddles, kisses and frolics on her subjects. Her idiosyncrasies are understandable and not insurmountable. As with all Happy Bark adoptions, Princess' forever home can count on continuing support and guidance-we can work with you to identify the tools, training and techniques that give unique dogs like Princess the happily ever after they deserve.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Princess, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
